What are your 2021 climate tech marketing wins and 2022 manifestations?
It’s been a whirlwind year for climate tech. Let us know how it was for you. Join our first Tofu thread and share what you’re most proud of in 2021 and what you’re hoping to achieve in 2022.
Mel says: “Our 2021 win was definitely starting and growing this community (and relaunching our agency, Alder). For 2022, we manifest that we’ll be working with one of climate tech’s unicorns.”
Clean Energy Trust rebrands as Evergreen Climate Innovations
New name. New look.
For over a decade, nonprofit climate technology investor Clean Energy Trust has worked to address the capital and support gap that exists for early-stage climate tech companies in the Greater Midwest.
Earlier this month, the nonprofit announced its new name, Evergreen Climate Innovations, which features its unique investment approach, focus on climate solutions, and emphasis on innovation in support of its mission of bringing impactful climate technologies to market.
Led by fellow Tofu, Amy Yanow Fairbanks, Communications and Content Manager for the nonprofit, the rebrand is a great example of an integrated approach - supported by a press release, a letter from Evergreen’s CEO, a new website (with a focus on sustainable web design principles and accessibility), and a new overview video.

Katy Zack: “I'm a freelance consultant working with UN Environment Program on sustainable fashion communication, aligning the fashion sector towards the 1.5-degree pathway. I also work as a volunteer on the Tech Zero taskforce, a climate action group for tech companies looking to commit to climate action. Happy to be here and always looking to find more communicators/marketers passionate about climate, figuring out how we can make a greater positive impact even faster.”
Deanna Cioppa: “I'm a long-time digital and content marketer in the B2B SaaS space. I want to make the jump into the climate sector to put what I know to use for the planet I love. I've worked with global enterprises and nonprofits to create content marketing strategies that drove significant results in dollars and awareness, and I want to do that for high-potential, high-impact climate solutions.”
